Tree Farm Districts
Mississippi has more than 200 trained Tree Farm Inspectors. All inspectors are volunteers. They are professional foresters employed by the Mississippi Forestry Commission, Mississippi State University, forest industries, consulting forestry firms, and other agencies and organizations. They volunteer their time to the Tree Farm Program because they believe in the mission of our program.
Some inspectors are more active in the program than others. This is to be expected. The nature of their employment provides some with the opportunity for more direct contact with forest landowners.
